Post Date:May 16, 2017 2:22 pm

FORT SASKATCHEWAN, AB (May 16, 2017) - The City of Fort Saskatchewan is pleased to announce that Fort Sask Transit (FST) has been presented the Canadian Urban Transit Association (CUTA) Corporate Leadership Award for Marketing and Communications.  For this year’s awards, CUTA’s Corporate Leadership Award winners focused on innovation and efficiency in transit.

In line with CUTA’s Transit Vision 2040 themes, FST’s ‘We’re Routing For You’ campaign promoted the transit benefits such as: a healthier community; growth and empowerment of the residents; a safe way to travel; and the pride of our very own transit system, making Fort Saskatchewan a complete city. ‘We're Routing for You’ was designed as a simple & friendly double entendre to show our community’s support and that the new and official transit system was truly built on meeting the needs of our riders.

“We are also always looking for ways to improve. Since the implementation of ‘We’re Routing For You,’ local FST ridership has increased. Suggestions and feedback are always welcome.” says Anthony Dionigi, FST Transit Supervisor who received the award in Montreal. Based on ridership data, local ridership has improved 18-38% per month when compared to the previous year.

More winners and information can be found at the CUTA website.
