New improved Internet at the Dow Centennial Centre
Fort Wi-Fi launches on October 10
The community of Fort Saskatchewan is more connected than ever. Starting Tuesday, October 10, Fort WiFi will be available for public use throughout at the Dow Centennial Centre.
The new Fort WiFi internet service at the Dow Centennial Centre meets the needs and expectations of visitors, clients and patrons that are accustomed to mobile data access wherever they go. It will deliver a free internet service that is aimed at providing both residents and visitors with greater opportunities to stay connected while on the move.
Enabling connectivity is a key component of increasing technology inclusion for everyone living, visiting, and conducting business in the area. With 47 access points throughout the facility, connectivity is maintained as you conduct your business there. The Fort WiFi initiative at the Dow Centennial Centre was approved in the 2017 budget at a cost of $147,350 with an annual operating impact of $10,000. This system has been designed for expansion of the service to other facilities in the City.
Look for Fort WiFi and enjoy faster connection speeds as you share photos of your child’s first goal, listen to music as you work out, use social media to share your cultural experience or share a file at a company meeting with Fort WiFi at the Dow Centennial Centre.
