Annually, the City of Fort Saskatchewan collects property taxes from residential and non-residential properties. Property taxes collected from residential and non-residential properties is one of the various, and most significant, sources available to the City to pay for municipal services such as:
- Protective Services (Police and Fire)
- Road Maintenance
- Public Transit
- Planning for Future Infrastructure
The City mails property tax notices in late May every year and asks property owners to pay their taxes in full by the due date of June 30 to avoid late-payment penalties.
