Project Timeline for Website 2016

 APPROVED- April 26, 2016 

In 2009, City Council adopted the Downtown Area Redevelopment Plan (DARP)  to provide guidance for future growth and development in the downtown. The Downtown Land Use Bylaw continues the vision outlined in the DARP, and introduces 8 new land use districts to provide site specific regulations for the downtown.

We would like to thank all participants who provided their feedback throughout this project A copy of the panel boards that were shared at the open house are available here.   You can also find the Public Consultation Summary for this project here.

The project was presented to Council on the following dates:

March 22, 2016- Request for Council Direction 

April 12, 2016 - First Reading 

April 26, 2016- Public Hearing and Final Readings.
