On the 100th Anniversary of Fort Saskatchewan’s existence in 2004, the city launched the most exciting project in its history. The Dow Centennial Centre, a community centre with a unique culture and recreation focus, that enhances the quality of life in Fort Saskatchewan and the surrounding region. 
 
From the “spectacular, absolutely stunning foyer” of the Centre with its four massive pillars to the unique concept of combining cultural, social, recreational, and fitness centres into one building, the Centre is undoubtedly a showcase amenity.
 
This 170,000 sq.ft. centre is designed to host a variety of organized events and spontaneous activities. It’s a vibrant, cultural centre with live theatre, concerts, recitals, painting, pottery, and art gallery. It’s a place to celebrate life’s important passages – graduations and weddings – and business events such as conferences, workshops, and trade shows. 
 
The Dow Centennial Centre is for active, healthy families, providing a venue for skating, running, walking, fitness and participating in a variety of sports.   It’s also for seniors and the physically challenged, offering many features to enhance everyone’s enjoyment.
 
The centre is only minutes from Edmonton. A prominent feature on the landscape at the apex of Highway 21’s entry into Fort Saskatchewan at 84 Street, the Centre is highly visible and easily accessible from several directions.
