Seniors form an active, vibrant, and appreciated segment of community life in Fort Saskatchewan. Many enjoy meeting one another at Pioneer House, a comfortable facility where friends can visit or just relax and read a book.

Drop-ins of all ages are always welcome. Visitors will find a hot cup of coffee waiting, and pancake breakfasts and luncheons are often held. A host or hostess greets every new arrival and is happy to answers questions and provide information.

Pioneer House offers a number of services including income tax assistance and health services, such as flu, foot, and blood pressure clinics, as well as meeting and banquets facilities.

Recreational activities include:

Bocci
Tai Chi
Card games such as bridge, canasta, cribbage, and military whist
Carpet bowling
Choir
Dancing including square, round, and social dancing
Floor curling
Games such as dominos, scrabble, shuffleboard, and snooker
Painting
Writing groups
