The City requires licenses for everything from dogs and cats to businesses. Our permits range from building, development, electrical, gas, plumbing to fire pits. Please note: Permits are not required to hold a garage sale. However, no staked signs are permitted on 98 Avenue between 101 and 108 Streets, or 99 Avenue between 90 and 108 Streets, because of the underground irrigation system. Signs are permitted elsewhere 24 hours before the sale starts and must be removed within 24 hours after the sale ends. All garage sale signs will be removed by the city if they have not been picked up by the owner 24 hours after the sale is up, and there is a fee if you require the signs back.
