Where do the recycled items go and how much does the program cost?
All items collected for recycling are taken to a Certified Recycling Processor. All items not recyclable are separated and removed and the recyclable items are then re-used.
The cost to run the Residential Curbside Recycling Program is approximately $3.18/homeowner/month. However, thanks to the sponsorship of Shell Canada, the "Shell Recycling Sacks" are provided to all City residents free of charge.
