Show Your Canadian Pride

Gather your friends and family and dress is your snazziest red and white clothes. Get ready to celebrate the City of Fort Saskatchewan's main event, Canada Day - Fort Saskatchewan style!

Every July 1st, residents and visitors honour Canada's Birthday in an all-encompassing, old-fashioned community celebration.

Plan to start your day at the pancake breakfast, sponsored by Dow Chemical Canada Inc. and served by the Fort Saskatchewan Fire Department.

Enjoy the always fun Canada Day

Parade marching through downtown sponsored by Shell, then follow the crowd to Legacy Park for the Opening Ceremonies. Make sure to get a cupcake and ice cream courtesy of Agrium. The July 1st extravaganza includes a petting zoo sponsored by Sherritt International, children's inflatables sponsored by the Rotary Club, and face painting. There is also a ton of entertainment on the Legacy Park Band Shell. It is the perfect time for showcasing out unbridled community and patriotic spirit!

For more entertainment, be sure to stroll alongside the polished cars at the ever-growing Show & Shine organized by Heartland Ford. This fantastic car event will be even bigger this year with more classic nostalgia, more muscle, and more wheels.

Canada Day continues into the night with the happy sounds of fireworks as they light up the evening with a rainbow of colours fluttering against the sky. Watch for the fireworks at the top of the Rotary Amphitheatre in the North Saskatchewan River Valley.

Fireworks are brought to you by the City of Fort Saskatchewan.
