Fort Saskatchewan to transform into an Enchanted Forest
Take a festive tour this holiday season
Preparations for the holiday season are well underway at City Hall, the Public Library and the Dow Centennial Centre. The 14th annual Enchanted Forest opens on Friday, November 24th with a record number of trees on display. Thirty-two beautifully decorated trees will be showcased at the Dow Centennial Centre & Sherritt Cultural Pavilion and an additional twenty-seven trees will be on display at City Hall and the Library.
Local organizations and businesses choose how they would like to showcase their holiday creations to best represent their style or group.
The public is encouraged to vote for their favourite tree from those exhibited at the designated Enchanted Forest locations. Voters will have the chance to win a monthly pass to the Dow Centennial Centre. A ballot box will be located at the Sherritt Cultural Pavilion and in the lobby of City Hall. Along with the Favourite Tree award voted on by the public, a panel of judges will be voting for the Most Merry & Bright, Most Unique, Most Beautiful and Best Use of a Theme. Organizations that take home the top nods will receive tickets to upcoming performances at the Shell Theatre.
The City of Fort Saskatchewan is all about engaged people in a thriving community, and the Enchanted Forest is the perfect representation of this. Be sure to stop by the Dow Centennial Centre and City Hall from November 24th to January 7th to vote for your favourite trees!
