High Performance Sports Field

Masonry work is complete on the entrance buildings with steel structure being installed.  Masonry work is continuing on the change rooms.

The Tender for the supply and installation of artificial turf has been awarded.  Installation is expected in August.

Civil works expected to start up in April.  

Southfort Drive will be closed between 84 Street and Southfort Boulevard, tentatively scheduled for the first week of May.  Please watch for signs and notices.

 

Curling Rink

The new ice plant is complete.  The old ice plant has been removed.  Seasonal deficiencies to be complete in spring. 

The final design concept is being completed for the renovation project.   The Construction Manager has been selected.  Detailed design is beginning.  Hazardous Material Abatement and interior demolition is scheduled to begin in late April.

 

Historic Precinct Washrooms

Work is complete, however, the washrooms will remain closed until the site dries and access can be constructed.  

Seasonal deficiencies will be completed when weather permits.

  

Transportation Master Plan

Work will continue through the winter to complete the report for Council and Public presentation.  Draft findings are expected in early April.

 

Southfort Drive Widening

The construction tender is being posted today and will close April 25.

 

Harbour Pool Universal Change Room

The RFP for the design of the new change room has closed.  The project has been awarded and design is beginning.

 

Water Meter Radio Upgrade

The RFP to install radio reads on 2,800 water meters has closed.  The project was awarded to Corix.  

Work is scheduled to begin April 18.  Letters have been sent to affected residents..

 

Installation of Foundation Drain Services

The tender for construction services has closed and is being evaluated.

 

Skateboard Park

Final concept and 3D renderings will be complete at the end of April.

 

Neighbourhood Rehabilitation

Design for the rehabilitation of Ross Drive is underway.  Letters to affected residents advising of the construction have been sent.  More detailed information will be provided once a contractor is selected.

Construction tender closing date has been extended to April 20.

 

Sewer Reline

Contractor has completed their pre-work and will return in May to install the mainline liners. 

 

City Facility Roof Replacements

Roofs on Harbour Pool, Legion, CN Station, and the James E. Graham Building will be replaced this summer.   Harbour Pool is scheduled to being May 8.  The CN Station roof is scheduled to begin the week of April 17, weather permitting.

 

Historic Precinct - Court House

Windows and Doors on the Court House are being refurbished this summer.  Work will start this spring and is expected to continue throughout the summer.

 

River Valley Staircase

A staircase will be constructed to access the River Valley from Riverpark Drive.  Work is expected to begin in April.

 

Kinsmen Playground Replacement

The playground replacement is out for tender and closes April 20.  Once submissions are received the concepts will be taken to the neighbourhood for final decision.  The options will be presented to the public at the Playground on April 27.

 

Dog Park

Installation of the Dog Park amenities will begin once the site is dry enough for access.

 

Westpark Boulevard Traffic Lights

The Developer is installing traffic lights on Westpark Boulevard at the Commercial entrance near Husky.

List of Requests for Proposals (RFP)

Pre-qualified Contractors List

The City of Fort Saskatchewan is developing a Pre-qualified contractors list for miscellaneous work up to $50,000 in value. The pre-qualification process consists of a safety questionnaire, a qualifications questionnaire and a listing of the work contractors are interested in.

The pre-qualified list will be used to request quotations for small contracts that come up during annual operations. Contract values are expected to be below $50,000 per contract.

Documents will be continually accepted and contractors added to the list. It is anticipated that interested contractors will be required to update their information on an annual basis.
