Post Date:July 04, 2017 3:55 pm

FORT SASKATCHEWAN, ALBERTA, (July 4, 2017) A fantastic night of watching a Movie Under the Stars is back on Friday, August 18th.  The annual Movie Under the Stars has become a family favorite and a wonderful summer tradition.

“There is just nothing quite like watching a Movie Under the Stars in Legacy Park with friends, family, and neighbors.  It is an event that brings the community together to have fun and enjoy a beautiful summer evening in the Park.” explains Jana Rowe, the City’s Community Event’s Specialist.

This year’s theme is “Canadian Talent.” It is about celebrating the talent that has come from our wonderful country. Every movie has a Canadian actor or actress in it.

Visit the City’s Facebook page to cast your vote by July 21 at 4:00 p.m. The movie choices are:

  • Finding Dory – Eugene Levy (2016)
  • Ghostbusters – Dan Aykroyd and Rick Moranis (1984)
  • Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows – Stephen Amell, Noel Fisher, Will Arnett (2016)
  • Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian – Alberta Mayne, Jay Baruchel, Patrick Gallagher, Eugene Levy (2009)
  • Captain America: The Winter Soldier – George St-Pierre, Cobie Smulders, Chad Todhunter, Emily VanCamp (2014)
  • Shrek – Mike Myers (2001)

There is no charge for this popular evening, so gather up your family and friends and make your way to Legacy Park. In the past, more than 1,000 people have attended the outdoor movie night, so arrive early to choose a good spot. Weather permitting, the show will start at approximately 9:15 p.m (when the sky is dark enough to show the movie).

Celebrate this wonderful summer tradition and vote for your favorite movie at or on
