Taxes – like High School Graduation – come each June

Most of you need no reminder that your property taxes are due by midnight on June 30th.
This is the money needed to run the Fire Department, Public Works Department, Municipal Enforcement, Culture and Recreation, etc. Back in 2014, we asked some Grade 4 students to talk about taxes. That was eight years ago which means these bright and engaged students are graduating High School this year.

A new City Council was elected in October 2021 and one of the first orders of business for them was to approve the 2022 Operating and Capital budgets.
