EPCOR has announced a mandatory ban on non-essential water use in the Capital Region, including Edmonton and Fort Saskatchewan. This urgent action is due to a failure in the distribution pumping system at one of the water treatment plants.

Residents are asked to conserve water by taking short showers instead of baths, delaying laundry and dishwasher use, and being mindful of water use in daily activities like brushing teeth. Reduced water pressure may be experienced.
