Starting April 1, City residents are asked to go online and complete the City Census for 2024. By the end of March, each household will receive their unique access code on a bright green Census letter that will be delivered to the door. The Wild Rose Old Tyme Fiddlers Association has been awarded $3,500 by the City’s Tourism Hosting Grant. They will be hosting the 2024 Grand North American Old Time Fiddle Championships from July 18 to 21, 2024, at the Shell Theatre. This fiddle contest expects to attract an audience of 400 to 500 people over the weekend, with competitors coming from across Canada and the USA.

The City of Fort Saskatchewan will begin providing weekday bus service between Fort Saskatchewan and Sherwood Park. The service will start in July under a new three-year agreement with Strathcona County.
