Council Approves 2023 Operating and Capital Budgets

City Council approved the 2023 Operating and Capital budgets during its regular December 13, 2022 Council meeting. Council also passed the 2023 User Fees, Rates, and Charges Bylaw. During the November budget deliberations meetings, Council heard presentations from all City departments, Fort Saskatchewan Public Library, Heartland Housing Foundation, and Edmonton Metropolitan Transit Services Commission.

Harbour Pool celebrates 40 years since the facility’s Grand Opening

The City of Fort Saskatchewan is celebrating the Harbour Pool’s 40-year anniversary. The facility’s Grand Opening was held back in December 17, 1982. To celebrate the last 40 years of aquatics in Fort Saskatchewan, Harbour Pool will be inviting our swimmers and hosting 17-days of giveaways until Harbour Pool’s Birthday on December 17.

Fire Services Master Plan is on the way

City Council will be reviewing the plan in the next few weeks

The City of Fort Saskatchewan’s Fire Services Master Plan is scheduled to be discussed at the end of November or early December this year.  In late 2021, Council approved the initiative to conduct an in-depth review and analysis of the Fort Saskatchewan Fire Department to develop a Fire Services Master Plan.
