Council Approves Partial River Road Closure to Create a Multi-Use Trail

At the February 28 Council meeting, Council approved the plan to close a portion of River Road to vehicle traffic. The portion to be closed is northeast of the entrance to the Fort Lions Campground and southwest of 119 street. The nearly two-kilometres portion of the road will be converted to a multi-use trail for cyclists and recreational users.

Fire Services Master Plan coming forward on March 21
The Fort Saskatchewan Fire Master Plan has been prepared to evaluate current response capabilities and to formulate strategic direction for Fire Services. The Plan, among other things, includes an updated 10-Minute Fire Services Response Map. This map informs the requirements for new houses under the National Building Codes.
