Alberta Airsheds Council Releases 2022 Annual Air Quality Report

The Alberta Airsheds Council (AAC) released its 2022 Annual Air Quality Report today. The ACC is made up of Alberta’s ten Airsheds. Fort Air Partnership is on of those ten Airsheds. Alberta’s Airsheds use 88 continuous monitoring stations plus various technologies at hundreds of other locations to monitor the air Albertans breathe. (Airsheds are regional air quality organizations, responsible for independent ambient air monitoring and stakeholder engagement, public awareness, and education.)
Residential Street Sweeping 2023

You may have already seen some street sweeping happening on the highways and city streets. Weather permitting, City Crews will start residential sweeping on Monday, April 17 through to Monday, April 28. Signs will be posted 72 hours prior to sweeping. Please obey all signage and watch for flag people when this work is being completed.
Sweeping priorities are as follows:
1. Highway and City arterial streets
2. Central business district and collector streets
3. Residential streets and paved lanes

Local Artist Selected for 2023 Art in Public Places Program

The City of Fort Saskatchewan has officially announced the winning artist selected for the 2023 Art in Public Places program.
Local resident and artist, Trisha Sheppard, is the 2023 winner in the program’s adult category. Her art is acrylic paint on canvas titled “AN ARTIST VIEW”. The title is a nod to Trisha’s view on another style of art. Her inspiration came from a Vancouver artist who paints much of the west coast.
