Local artists invited to submit artwork for the 2023 Art in Public Places Program

The City of Fort Saskatchewan is inviting local artists to submit their artwork for consideration into the 2023 Art in Public Places Program. The Art in Public Places Program is an annual art acquisition program that honors and celebrates the talent of local Fort Saskatchewan artists whose work will be of lasting value, demonstrates artistic integrity and will enhance the City's art collection.

Fort Air Partnership October through December 2022 Air Monitoring Results

From October through December 2022, Fort Air Partnership (FAP) recorded 12,597 hours of air monitoring data for use in calculating the Air Quality Health Index (AQHI) at seven stations in our Airshed.

Hours monitored: 12,597Low risk AQHI (hrs): 11,387Moderate AQHI (hrs): 20Very High AQHI (hrs): 11

11,387 (or 90.3%) of the hours were of low-risk AQHI.

City Studying the Future of Indoor Recreation in Fort Saskatchewan

Fort Saskatchewan residents are asked to participate in a recreation planning study by completing an online survey. The survey asks questions on the City’s aquatics, indoor ice, fitness and wellness facilities. Postcards were mailed to each household the week of January 9th with a unique access code to be used at fortsask.ca/RecSurvey. The City of Fort Saskatchewan is one of the 54 partners of the Government of Canada’s 2 Billion Trees Program. The 2 Billion Trees Program is one of the many measures Canada is taking to show its leadership in taking actions to conserve and restore nature and halt biodiversity loss around the world.

2023 Property Assessment Notices

City Council approved the 2023 Operating Budget which includes an update to the annual Property Assessment & Tax Notices. Commencing 2023,  combined notices will no longer be issued.

Starting February 2023 and each year thereafter, property owners in Fort Saskatchewan will receive a Property Assessment Notice separate from their Property Tax Notice. This notice will include information on their property assessment ONLY and is NOT a tax bill.
