Toys For Tickets Program Wrap-Up: Spreading Joy One Toy At A Time

This year’s Toys for Tickets program has successfully concluded, bringing holiday cheer to families in need. Municipal Enforcement issued 77 tickets during the program period, and 79 toys were donated through the program in lieu of fines.
Every donated toy will be given to the Families First Society, ensuring that children in Fort Saskatchewan and surrounding areas experience the magic of the season.

The City of Fort Saskatchewan, in collaboration with local first responders, invites you to the annual Candy Cane Check Stop on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, from 3:00 to 5:00 pm at the CO-OP parking lot.

Update on Canada Post Strike Impacts

Mail service disruptions are in effect due to the Canada Post strike, which began on Friday, November 15.
Residents are encouraged to refrain from sending correspondence or payments to the City by mail until postal services resume. Alternative options include:
- Dropping off items directly at City Hall (10005-102 Street).
- Using a courier service.
- Utilizing the secure drop box to the right of the main entrance at City Hall, accessible after business hours.
Temporary Service Pause at Transfer & Eco Station for Refrigerant-Containing Items

As of November 12, 2024, the Transfer & Eco Station has paused accepting items containing refrigerants, including refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, and similar appliances. Due to winter conditions, the facility cannot safely remove refrigerants, a hazardous material, during the colder months.
Residents needing immediate disposal are encouraged to use the Edmonton Waste Management Centre. For those able to wait, services will resume on April 14, 2025, when temperatures allow for the safe...
