COVID Update: Changes in Provincial Health Regulations

The City of Fort Saskatchewan has updated our facility regulations based on the announcement from the Government of Alberta on Tuesday, February 8th.
Effective immediately:
- Proof of Vaccine or a negative test is no longer required to enter Recreation and Cultural facilities operated by the City of Fort Saskatchewan
- Food and beverage services will resume at the JRC and the Shell Theatre will resume bar service at performances
Hand sanitizing and distancing and masking remains a requirement in all...

Lyle Bates | Westpark
Lyle and his son are wonderful and caring neighbours! They faithfully blow the snow off my driveway. I have never asked them to do this but have been moved to tears coming home from work to see my driveway cleared of snow, especially on a cold winter day! It is neighbours such as Lyle and his son that make for a caring and thoughtful community. I am so grateful for their kindness and thoughtfulness towards me. It means the world and I am so grateful and fortunate to call them...

Fires Over the Weekend

A couple of fires happened in the City last weekend.
House FireFort Saskatchewan Fire responded to small single family residential house with reports of smoke coming from the roof. At approximately 3:26 pm on Saturday, January 22, Fort Fire arrived on scene to flames on the back of the house. Crews entered the attic meeting flames and heavy smoke. The Fire Crews were able to knock down the fire quickly.
Strathcona County also attended the scene. Crews stayed on scene for overhaul and a vacuum truck...
