Fort Saskatchewan's Economic Development Department provided their annual Economic Update to the Fort Saskatchewan & District Chamber of Commerce on December 2, 2020. The presentation was a departure from the usual focus on community stats and market updates and rather focused on presenting the City's response to COVID-19, and the planned activities for 2021 that will continue to support the business community.

The City of Fort Saskatchewan is pleased to announce some additional recreation opportunities that meet the latest Provincial Health Orders for keeping activities limited to families who live in the same household safe:

Effective today, the Dow Centennial Centre ice, gymnasium and soccer field can be rented for exclusive use by a Fort Saskatchewan family that lives in the same household or, for a coaching or instruction one on one session. Rates are as follows:

Full Gym: $38.09/hr
½ Gym: $19.05/hr

The Province declared a state of Public Health Emergency on Tuesday, November 24 in response to the rapidly rising cases of COVID-19 in Alberta and particularly in the Edmonton and Calgary regions.
