Impacts of State of Health Emergency on City Services

The City of Fort Saskatchewan will be adjusting access to City facilities to comply with the Provincial Health Orders announced on September 15, 2021.
Effective September 20, the City will implement a Restrictions Exemption Program requiring proof of vaccination or negative test result to enter a City facility including recreation and administration buildings including City Hall. The restriction will not apply to the Protective Services building that Municipal Enforcement and the RCMP are located...

The City of Fort Saskatchewan will be following the Mandatory mask restrictions announced by the Province – effective September 4 at 8am.
• Masks are mandatory in all indoor public spaces and workplaces.
• Schools are not required to implement masking, but school boards will continue to set COVID-19 management policies as they deem appropriate.

Data collected during a nine month air monitoring project in Sturgeon County indicates that the air quality experienced by the residents in that area of Sturgeon County is of low risk to health the vast majority of the time.

The Sheep Leaving Parade is baaack

Join us for the Sheep leaving Parade on Monday, September 6, at 1:00 pm. Our warm and fuzzy flock will lead a parade of sheep fans and followers through a pre-determined route that starts and ends at the sheep’s corral at the Fort Heritage Precinct. It’s how we say “farewell until next year” to our four-legged lawn mowers.
