The Fort Saskatchewan Soccer has been awarded $3,000 for hosting the upcoming U17 Rural Provincials this summer. This event will be held at Taurus Field and other local soccer fields in the City from July 5 - 7, 2019. The U17 Rural Provincials is for both male and female teams representing different districts across the province. This provincial tournament will decide who the tier 4 provincial champion is!

Water Main Repair Prompts Temporary Water Restrictions in Fort Saskatchewan

Effective immediately, Fort Saskatchewan is asking residents to reduce their water consumption. This includes those who receive water through truck fills, and in country residential areas.
The Water Commission has reported a leak in the main feed line that supplies the City. Repairs are now underway and may take several days to complete. During this time, the City will rely solely on its smaller south supply line, which provides less water than residents typically use each day.

Fort Saskatchewan Updates Traffic Bylaw to Align with Provincial E-Scooter Legislation

The City of Fort Saskatchewan has updated its Traffic Bylaw to align with Alberta’s Traffic Safety Act, clarifying the legal status of personal e-scooters and other prohibited miniature vehicles within city limits.
Personal e-scooters, electric skateboards, hoverboards, and similar miniature vehicles are prohibited from operating on all public roadways, sidewalks, and trail systems in Fort Saskatchewan. These devices may only be used on private property.
