Tree Planting at the Dog Park

Parks crews will be out planting 90 new trees in the back corner of the West River's Edge Off Leash Dog Park on Tuesday, October 13 and into Wednesday, October 14 if needed.
We ask dog park users to please give our workers room to work and maneuveur equipment on site, and to please keep pets away from the work site.

The City of Fort Saskatchewan recognizes the important contributions our local non-profit organizations make to our community. If you are a local non-profit and have a community program, event or initiative that you would like to have considered for funding, you may submit a grant application to the City for consideration in the 2021 budget year.

Alberta has the largest DED-free American Elm stand in the world worth two billion dollars, but we could lose it all. A new case of Dutch Elm Disease (DED) was recently confirmed in the province and has renewed calls for Albertans to follow pruning bans.
