The video provides strategies for parents, teachers and kids to stay safe online

Dutch Elm Disease Prevention

Alberta has the largest DED-free American Elm stand in the world worth two billion dollars, but we could lose it all. A new case of Dutch Elm Disease (DED) was recently confirmed in the province and has renewed calls for Albertans to follow pruning bans.

Hours increasing at Dow Centennial Centre effective March 29

The City reopened the Dow Centennial Centre for low intensity indoor fitness activities on Monday, March 8 and the demand has been very steady. As of Monday, March 29, patrons can visit the DCC between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. Monday to Friday. Weekend hours will remain as is for now, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and the facility will be closed on Stat Holidays.

Its spores are released following periods of warm, wet weather and are spread by splashing water, wind, birds, and insects.
