The fire was quickly put out without further property damage or injury
The Fort Saskatchewan Fire Department responded to reports of alarms ringing at 9932-100 Ave at 7:40 a.m. this morning.
“This morning the Fort Saskatchewan Fire Department responded to fire in the basement of a building,” said Acting Fire Chief, Kam Kelly, “The fire was quickly contained and put out preventing further property damage.”
Upon arrival, workers informed Fire Service members of a fire in the basement of the building....

Snow and ice clearing from City streets will begin Monday January 18.

City crews will place no parking signs in neighborhoods throughout Fort Saskatchewan to designate when parking restrictions affect your neighborhood. Please remove your vehicle from the street the night before your designated day. Vehicles remaining on the street will be ticketed and may be towed. Outdoor recreation is seeing a significant increase in participation this year in Fort Saskatchewan and that is something to celebrate!

Mike and Lorraine have been a great neighbors from the moment we met them! Mike often helps my wife and other neighbours with clearing their driveways. Once, when we were away Mike even came and took a look at our furnace when there was no heat in the house. He’s always was willing to lend a hand and, often, a ladder! On top of that he is helping to raise his grandson into a fine adult with strong values. He is always a pleasant face to see around the neighbourhood!
