NEW Sports Fields and Parks Status Interactive Map

The City of Fort Saskatchewan has launched a new interactive map to help our users track whether sports field(s) and parks are open or closed.
With this new map, Sports Field Updates will no longer be sent out by email and users are asked to refer the map for updates on their field status. Updates will be posted to the map by 3:00 pm on week days. If weather turns poor after 3:00 pm or on weekends, it is up to the sports leagues (coaches, referees etc.) to make the best decision for the players...
New regulations in effect for noisy vehicles

City Council approved an amendment to the Traffic Bylaw C17-22 December of 2022 to help regulate the noise from vehicles within City limits. The change was made to deal with excessive noise that results in a significant number of complaints to the RCMP and Municipal Enforcement.

Fort Centre Park – Phase 1
- Pipe installation and construction of inlets and outlets for the storm pond will occur in 2023
- Alberta Transportation is leading this project
- Work is complete on the portion of Hwy 15 within the City of Fort Saskatchewan limits except for the trails under the new bridge. Paving of the trails will occur in 2023. Trail Closures have been in effect over the winter and will continue in the spring.
