Census Canada report shows continued growth in Fort Saskatchewan

The Government of Canada released the 2021 census results showing the current population of Fort Saskatchewan at 27,088. This is a 12 percent increase in population from the 2016 federal census total of 24,169.  Fort Saskatchewan is the eighth fastest growing city in Alberta with populations over 10,000.

COVID Update: Changes in Provincial Health Regulations

The City of Fort Saskatchewan has updated our facility regulations based on the announcement from the Government of Alberta on Tuesday, February 8th.

Effective immediately:

  • Proof of Vaccine or a negative test is no longer required to enter Recreation and Cultural facilities operated by the City of Fort Saskatchewan
  • Food and beverage services will resume at the JRC and the Shell Theatre will resume bar service at performances
