The City of Fort Saskatchewan is pleased to announce the completion of the 2023 Municipal Census, revealing a population of 28,624 residents. This represents a significant increase of 6.24% compared to the municipal census conducted in 2019 and a notable growth of 4.22% from the 2021 Federal census.

In the movie Field of Dreams, Kevin Costner’s character Wray Kinsella builds a baseball diamond on what was a corn field. You could say that this was an act of placemaking. His father identified so strongly with baseball - the sounds of the diamond full of players, that Wray created a place that would draw his father back from the other side.
