Youth Council is looking for members
The City is searching for youth volunteers between the ages of 14 to 24 years-old to join its Youth Council.
The role of Youth Council is to educate and empower youth to provide information and recommendations to Council about issues that impact and involve youth.

City Responds to the New Round of Provincial Restrictions

The Provincial Government announced changes to current restrictions to combat COVID-19 on Tuesday, April 6, 2021. Effective Wednesday, April 7, 2021 the Fitness Centre at the Dow Centennial Centre will temporarily stop operations.
On a positive note, the ice surface, gymnasium, and indoor field will continue to be available for Youth Sports. Taurus Field will also remain open for Youth Sports. Details are described below:

Alberta has the largest DED-free American Elm stand in the world worth two billion dollars, but we could lose it all. A new case of Dutch Elm Disease (DED) was recently confirmed in the province and has renewed calls for Albertans to follow pruning bans.
