Council Approves Partial River Road Closure to Create a Multi-Use Trail

At the February 28 Council meeting, Council approved the plan to close a portion of River Road to vehicle traffic. The portion to be closed is northeast of the entrance to the Fort Lions Campground and southwest of 119 street. The nearly two-kilometres portion of the road will be converted to a multi-use trail for cyclists and recreational users.

Every year around this time we experience snow and freeze/thaw cycles that can result in hazardous conditions on sidewalks.
