Fire Department responds to residential structure fire Sunday morning

Shortly after 4:00 a.m. on October 16, 2022, Fort Saskatchewan Fire Department responded to a residential structure fire at West Park Drive and Woodmere Close. Flames ripped through several units in a townhome complex affecting six homes.

“There are always challenges with townhouses being how close they are together and how fast the fire spreads,” said Fort  Saskatchewan fire chief, Todd Martens.
