93rd Ave and Sherridon Drive Alley – Water Valve Replacement

 •  Work to replace valves and hydrants in the alley behind 93rd Ave and Sherridon Drive has been delayed to spring of 2021


94th Street Road Widening

 •  94th Street from Southfort Drive to approximately 300m south of the Hospital is being widened from 2 lanes to 4 lanes
 •  The tender for a consultant is posted and closes February 4


112th Street Widening

 •  Paving is complete and the road is open
 •  Landscaping and a section of the asphalt trail will be completed in the spring of 2021


City Hall Lower Level

 •  The lower level at City Hall is being developed into office space
 •  Renovations to the lower level are complete except for some minor items and deficiencies
 •  Furniture is being delivered January 27. Installation will be complete the first week of February.


Hwy 15 & 119 Street Intersection

 •  Stripping and grading work on the east side of Highway 15 is complete for 2020. Work will resume in 2021.


Highway 15 Bridge Twinning

 •  Alberta Transportation is leading this project
 •  Work continues on the west side of the North Saskatchewan River
 •  Work is underway on the portion of Hwy 15 within the City of Fort Saskatchewan limits.

Neighbourhood Rehab – 101 Street

 •  Work to replace water, sewer and road infrastructure from 101 Ave to 99 Ave
 •  Work has been deferred to 2021


Neighbourhood Rehab – 103 Street

 •  Tender for design work to replace water, sewer and road infrastructure on 103 Street from 99 Ave to 98 Ave has closed. Tenders are being evaluated.


Neighbourhood Rehab – 108 Street

 •  Design work to replace water, sewer and road infrastructure on 108 Street from 101 Ave to the end of 108 Street will start in 2020. Construction is scheduled for 2021.


Pointe Aux Pins Road Widening

 •  The project will widen Point Aux Pins road from Wilshire Blvd to Range Road 231. This will bring the road up to the City’s urban standard and provide an asphalt trail on the north side of the road.
 •  Paving is complete for 2020. The final lift of asphalt will be placed in spring 2021.


River Road Slope Stabilization

 •  Contractor is mobilizing to site this week and work is scheduled to start the week of January 25
 •  Minor disruptions are expected to River Road but no lane closures are expected


Sportsplex Ice Plant Replacement

 •  Work on the room modifications for the new ice plant are underway
 •  The new ice plant has been delivered to the Sportsplex. Electrical and mechanical work to connect the ice plant are underway.
 •  The new ice plant is expected to be commissioned the first week of February


Sump Pump Retrofit Program

 •  Tender for a consultant is expected to be posted by the end of January


Transfer Station Site Enhancements

 •  A consultant has been selected and design work has started


Veterans Way Corridor Widening

 •  Detailed design work to add an additional lane on Highway 15 from 101 Street to the Highway 15/21 intersection is underway.
