93rd Ave and Sherridon Drive Alley – Water Valve Replacement

 •  Work to replace valves and hydrants in the alley behind 93rd Ave and Sherridon Drive has been delayed to spring of 2021 due to below zero over night temperatures


112th Street Widening

 •  112th Street from 108 St to Hwy 15 will be closed starting September 19th. The closure will remain for the duration of construction which is scheduled to be complete in the first week of November
 •  Stripping and grading is complete
 •  Installation of storm infrastructure is complete
 •  Concrete work is complete
 •  Paving is scheduled to start on Friday, October 30th

City Hall Lower Level

 •  The lower level at City Hall is being developed into office space
 •  Framing is completed
 •  Electrical rough-ins, plumbing and HVAC work is compete
 •  Drywall work has started


Dog Kennel

 •  Dog Kennel will be located at the Protective Services Building
 •  Interior and exterior finishing work is complete. Deficiencies will be addressed over the next few weeks.


Gymnastics Centre Parking Lot

 •  Work has started and is expected to be complete in October
 •  Installation of storm infrastructure is complete
 •  Concrete work is complete
 •  Paving is schedule for October 29th


Hwy 15 & 119 Street Intersection

 •  Design is complete and construction to start in September
 •  Tender has closed and a contractor has been selected
 •  Stripping and grading work on the east side of Highway 15 is complete for 2020. Work will resume in 2021.


Highway 15 Bridge Twinning

 •  Alberta Transportation is leading this project
 •  Work continues on the west side of the North Saskatchewan River
 •  Work is underway on the portion of Hwy 15 within the City of Fort Saskatchewan limits.

Neighbourhood Rehab – 101 Street

 •  Work to replace water, sewer and road infrastructure from 101 Ave to 99 Ave
 •  Work has been deferred to 2021


Neighbourhood Rehab – 108 Street

 •  Design work to replace water, sewer and road infrastructure on 108 Street from 101 Ave to the end of 108 Street will start in 2020. Construction is scheduled for 2021.


Old Gaol Bridge Closure

 •  Work is complete


Pointe Aux Pins Road Widening

 •  The project will widen Point Aux Pins road from Wilshire Blvd to Range Road 231. This will bring the road up to the City’s urban standard and provide an asphalt trail on the north side of the road.
 •  Stripping is complete. Work on the road base is complete.
 •  Paving is complete for 2020. The final lift of asphalt will be placed in spring 2021.
 •  Trail is paved and complete
 •  Waterline installation to Pointe Aux Pins Residents is complete


River Road Slope Stabilization

 •  Tender to stabilize the slope adjacent to River Road (west of Keyera) is closed. A contractor has been selected.


Sportsplex Ice Plant Replacement

 •  Contractor has been hired to replace the ice plant. Ice plant is scheduled to be replaced in early October
 •  Work on the room modifications for the new ice plant are underway


Sump Pump Retrofit Program

 •  Work has been deferred to 2021


Transfer Station Site Enhancements

 • Tender for a consultant is posted and closes November 10th


Veterans Way Corridor Widening

 •  Detailed design work to add an additional lane on Highway 15 from 101 Street to the Highway 15/21 intersection is underway.
