93rd Ave and Sherridon Drive Alley – Water Valve Replacement

 •  Work to replace valves and hydrants in the alley behind 93rd Ave and Sherridon Drive has been delayed to summer of 2021

94th Street Road Widening

 •  94th Street from Southfort Drive to approximately 300m south of the Hospital is being widened from 2 lanes to 4 lanes
 •  A consultant has been selected and design work has started.

112th Street Widening

 •  Work will resume on 112 Street starting April 29.
 •  A full road closure will occur starting May 6 to 14 to complete landscaping and trail.

Bulk Water Station Upgrades

 •  Tender has closed. A contractor has been selected
 •  Work will occur in the summer

Hwy 15 & 119 Street Intersection

 •  Stripping and grading work on the east side of Highway 15 is complete for 2020. Work will resume in 2021.

Highway 15 Bridge Twinning

 •  Alberta Transportation is leading this project
 •  Work continues on the west side of the North Saskatchewan River
 •  Work is underway on the portion of Hwy 15 within the City of Fort Saskatchewan limits.
 •  Fort Centre Park Trail Closures in effect August 26, 2019 - October 1, 2022

Local Road Rehab

 •  The locations for this year’s road rehabilitation program have been finalized
 •  View the 2021 Local Road Rehabilitation Map
 •  Tender for a contractor will be posted by April 29

Neighbourhood Rehab – 101 Street

 •  Work to replace water, sewer and road infrastructure from 101 Ave to 99 Ave
 •  The contractor has mobilized to site. 101 Street from 101 Ave to 100 Ave is closed.
 •  Work will continue throughout the summer.

Neighbourhood Rehab – 103 Street

 •  Work includes replacement of water, sewer and road infrastructure on 103 St from 99 Ave to 98 Ave
 •  A consultant has been selected and design work has started

Neighbourhood Rehab – 108 Street

 •  Design work to replace water, sewer and road infrastructure on 108 Street from 101 Ave to the end of 108 Street will start in 2020. Construction is scheduled for 2021.
 •  The tender has closed and contractor has been selected

Pointe Aux Pins Road Widening

 •  The project will widen Point Aux Pins road from Wilshire Blvd to Range Road 231. This will bring the road up to the City’s urban standard and provide an asphalt trail on the north side of the road.
 •  Paving is complete for 2020. The final lift of asphalt will be placed in spring 2021.
 •  Street lights are installed

River Road Slope Stabilization

 •  Contractor is on site and work has started
 •  Piles are complete
 •  Timber walls and ground anchors are complete
 •  Contractor has started backfilling around the wall
 •  Minor disruptions are expected to River Road but no lane closures are expected

Sportsplex Ice Plant Replacement

 •  Work on the room modifications for the new ice plant are underway
 •  The new ice plant has been delivered to the Sportsplex. Electrical and mechanical work to connect the ice plant are complete.
 •  The new ice plant is expected to be commissioned in April

Sump Pump Retrofit Program

 •  A consultant has been selected and design work is underway

Transfer Station Site Enhancements

 •  A consultant has been selected and design work is underway
 •  Construction will occur in 2021
 •  Tender for weight scales has closed. Contractor has been selected.
 •  Tender for compactors closed. Contractor has been selected.
 •  Tender for buildings closed. Tenders are being evaluated.

Veterans Way Corridor Widening

 •  Detailed design work to add an additional lane on Highway 15 from 101 Street to the Highway 15/21 intersection is underway.

Water Reservoir Lifecycle Renewal

 •  The project includes lifecycle replacements of distribution pumps, electrical and mechanical systems and building improvements.
 •  A contractor has been selected. Equipment is being ordered.
 •  Work is expected to start in August.
