Fall Yard Waste Collection Events

October 5 - 9 | October 26 - 30

 •  Place extra yard waste out in brown paper yard waste bags, in addition to your green cart, on your collection day this week

 •  Yard waste placed out for collection in plastic bags will not be collected

 •  Bags must not exceed 50 lbs each

Reminder: Bi-weekly Green Cart collection starts November 2


Snow Angels Needed

Can you help a neighbour snow shovelling this winter?

People of all ages can take part!

Harbour Pool News

Swimming Lessons available!

 •  Registration for Swim Programs Fall Session #1 and Fall Session #2 are now open. Remaining Fall Session Swim Programs will be open for registration on October 6 at 8:00am.

 •  If the class you would like to book into is full, please call to get on a waitlist or see if there are any additional course times.

 •  Private Lessons can be changed into semi private lessons for swimmers within two levels of each other- this is an option for parents that are looking to do cohort lessons or lessons for just your family or cohort.

 •  If you have specific questions about our Red Cross Swim Adapted programming please contact the Aquatics Program Coordinator, 780-992-6166.

Please note: a responsible parent/ guardian (14yrs of age or older) is required to participate in the water for all swimming lesson levels Preschool to Swim kids 4 and during public swim.

Fort Saskatchewan's new Draft Municipal Development Plan (MDP) is ready for you!

The City’s Municipal Development Plan is a high-level, long range plan that will guide the growth and development in the city as our population grows to 50,000. Thank you to all the residents that have participated in shaping the Plan to date. After almost 4400 resident responses over several engagements, the Plan is in its final stages and ready for your review.

The Plan will be available online to review from September 10 to 27. Please visit fortsask.ca/mdp.

If you wish to review the Plan in person, with staff available to answer any questions, you can attend an MDP Open House being held in the Lions Mane Room of the Dow Centennial Centre, 8700 84 St, Fort Saskatchewan:

September 24, 3:30pm to 8:00pm
September 25, 10:00am to 2:00pm

Social distancing will be maintained throughout the Open House and Masks will be mandatory. If you have been out of the country in the past 14 days, been in close contact with anyone who has tested positive to COVID-19, or are experiencing any symptoms, please do not attend the Open House. We invite you to provide your feedback online.

FST Announcements

Effective September 18, 2020, the Green Route (local route 584) will no longer be available.

Since September 1, 2020, local routes 582 and 583 are operating back to their regular schedule - Monday to Friday on a 30-minute frequency all day, and 60-minute frequency from 8:23 am to 1:26 pm. Saturday service is no longer available.

Please visit GoFortTransit.ca for the most up to date version of the schedule. Track the buses in real-time using the Passio GO app.
