Traffic Safety in Fort Saskatchewan

With the adoption of Vision Zero, a pledge to eliminate serious injury and death from roads, the City is seeking ways to make our streets safer for all users and modes of transportation. City Council is looking for feedback from residents on proposed speed limit changes and traffic calming measures.

The proposed ideas include:

 •  Local Roads: speed limit reduced to 40 km/hr
 •  Collector Roads: speed limit maintained at 50 km/hr
 •  Arterial Roads: speed limit increased to 60 km/hr
 •  Traffic calming measures along the 95A Avenue and Westpark Drive corridors

Have your say!

Visit for more information about the project and to provide feedback online between June 8 to 22, 2021.

Paper copies of the information materials and survey are available upon by request by calling 780-992-6200.
