Take the Recreation Survey

Help us do even better!

A survey addressing satisfaction, needs, and levels of service of recreational facilities and services is now available.

This 10 minute survey will cover customer satisfaction, as well as a gap analysis of existing programs. The survey will get a picture of where things stand now and what residents may be looking for in the future.

Product Exchange Centre Closure

The Centre began as a way to give reusable items a second chance. Unfortunately, waste materials, damaged and unsafe products were frequently being dropped off. The Product Exchange Centre will accept reusable items until 5:00pm, February 23. Items can be picked up until 5:00pm, March 1 after which the centre will close permanently. Residents with useful items that can be safely reused are encouraged to donate one of many local charities accepting second-hand products.

Regional Transit Commission

The Regional Transit Services Commission Transition Team comprised of representatives from 13 Edmonton area municipalities worked with a team of consultants lead by EY to develop a business case for forming a regional commission. The final report was released on January 22 and in February and March, each municipal council will vote on participating in a regional transit commission. Fort Saskatchewan City Council will vote on March 10.

The report, Accelerating Transit in the Edmonton Metropolitan Region: Building a Regional Transit Services Commission, is available at
