Recreation Fitness Classes

Registered Classes

The second session of fall classes is open for registration. We have many options to choose from. Stay in shape at the Dow Centennial Centre, our welcoming, safe and friendly facility.

Review course dates, descriptions, cost and times at, or call 780-992-6400. Our safety measures are all in place, floors marked for spacing, class sizes reduced and cleaning protocols established.

Drop-in Fitness Classes

We have drop in fitness classes running throughout the day. Check out the many options online or stop by the Dow Centennial Centre for a hard copy. Classes of all types are available; yoga, Silver Strong, Sit Fit For Health, multiple styles of cardio and strength, spin and more. Morning, noon and evening classes are available.

Falls Prevention Month

Are you a senior?

A great way to prevent falls is to keep our bodies strong. Come try a FREE workout designed for older adults.

When: November 3 & 10

Where: Dow Centennial Centre, Soccer Pitch

Time: 1 - 2pm

 •  A responsible parent/ guardian (14yrs of age or older) is required to participate in the water for all swimming lesson levels Preschool to Swim Kids 4.

 •  If the class you would like to book into is full, please call to get on a waitlist or see if there are any additional course times.

 •  Private Lessons can be changed into semi private lessons for swimmers within two levels of each other- this is an option for parents that are looking to do cohort lessons or lessons for just your family or cohort. Please call 780-992-6162 if you have questions about this option!

 •  If you have specific questions about our Red Cross Swim Adapted programming, please contact the Aquatics Program Coordinator: 780-992-6166.

Temporary Mandatory Face Covering Bylaw in effect for Fort Saskatchewan

Mandatory Face Covering Bylaw C29-20 requiring all citizens age 10 and over to wear a mask in all indoor public spaces has been enacted effective October 13, 2020. The Bylaw will remain in effect until rescinded by Council or until it expires. This Bylaw does not apply to places where masks are already required like schools & hospitals. For more information and details on exemptions for persons who are not required to wear a mask are available at
