The video provides strategies for parents, teachers and kids to stay safe online

With everyone spending more time online these days, The Fort Saskatchewan RCMP and The City of Fort Saskatchewan joined forces with a goal to provide adults and youth information that will help ensure their online time is appropriate and safe.

Cst. BIGELOW, with the Fort Saskatchewan RCMP Detachment, developed an online educational presentation that will get this important information out to our communities. The presentation will cover online sexual offences such as child luring, child pornography, internet safety tips, and real life stories of victims of online crimes.

The Director of Protective Services for the City of Fort Saskatchewan, Coreen Rayner, stated “helping kids stay safe while online is important to the Protective Serviced Department, and we want to provide helpful strategies to kids, parents and teachers about being safe while online.”

This presentation is now available for anyone to watch on the City of Fort Saskatchewan’s YouTube channel.
