Regional partnership aims to normalize conversations and provide supports for residents

In collaboration with Fort Saskatchewan and the City of Leduc, Strathcona County is launching a mental health campaign to support and strengthen residents’ mental health and normalize mental health conversations.

Mental health is more than meets the eye

Polls and research conducted during the pandemic found Canadians are facing mental health challenges, including an Angus Reid poll that found 50 per cent of Canadians polled stated their mental health had gotten worse since the COVID-19 pandemic began.

Over three phases, the campaign will help residents increase their overall understanding of mental health, better recognize the state of their own mental health and identify useful and effective coping and resiliency skills.

Normalizing mental health conversations and providing resources for residents or their loved ones is important to supporting strong individual and community mental health and recovering from pandemic impacts.

Residents can find more information about the campaign and mental health at: or phoning 780-464-4044 or phoning 780-720-0349 or phoning 780-992-6267

The campaign will run throughout the summer.
