Temporary Mandatory Face Covering Bylaw in effect for Fort Saskatchewan

Alberta Health Services confirmed Tuesday, October 13 that Fort Saskatchewan has 15 active cases of COVID-19 thereby triggering the Mandatory Face Covering Bylaw C29-20 approved by Council on August 4. This applies to all individuals age 10 and over unless they meet exemption criteria.

Municipal Development Plan - Bylaw C31-20

The new Municipal Development Plan (the Plan or MDP), ‘Our Fort. Our Future’ is ready. The MDP is the highest level Statutory Plan that addresses the physical, social, and economic growth and development of our city. The Plan development process included extensive public engagement with over 4400 resident responses to understand what residents’ value about our community and how they want to grow. The Plan guides the city’s growth as we grow into a city of 50,000 residents over the coming decades.

Do you care for an aging parent or other person close to you? You are a caregiver. Would you like to connect with other people in similar situations?

Fall Yard Waste Collection Events

October 26 - 30

 •  Place extra yard waste out in brown paper yard waste bags, in addition to your green cart, on your collection day this week

 •  Yard waste placed out for collection in plastic bags will not be collected

 •  Bags must not exceed 50 lbs each

Reminder: Bi-weekly Green Cart collection starts November 2

 •  A responsible parent/ guardian (14yrs of age or older) is required to participate in the water for all swimming lesson levels Preschool to Swim Kids 4.

 •  If the class you would like to book into is full, please call to get on a waitlist or see if there are any additional course times.

 •  Private Lessons can be changed into semi private lessons for swimmers within two levels of each other- this is an option for parents that are looking to do cohort lessons or lessons for just your family or cohort. Please call 780-992-6162 if you have questions about this option!
