Property Tax Certificate
A tax certificate provides the roll number, legal description, property address, levy, current balance, arrears, utility account balance, and the Monthly Tax Payment Plan amount.
How do I order a tax certificate?
- Online Tax Certificates can be ordered through Virtual City Hall (VCH).
- To set up a VCH account, please email finance@fortsask.ca along with the email address your firm would like to use for the online account. You will then be emailed your VCH User Name.
- Manual Tax Certificate requests must be made in writing on your company letterhead and emailed to the tax department at finance@fortsask.ca. Tax certificates will be emailed within 48 hours of the request.
How much does a tax certificate cost?
- An online tax certificate is $37.00 (to be paid online by credit card)
- Manual tax certificate is $43.00 and can be paid by cash, cheque or credit card.

The City of Fort Saskatchewan uses a program called Fortmap to provide information on properties within municipal boundaries. By using this program, you can search for your property, find out the land use district (zoning) of your property and those around it, and access other important information such as your assessment or past and present permits.
