25th Legacy Park Family Festival Goes Virtual!

The 2020 Legacy Park Family Festival is going to be one for the history books. Not only are we celebrating the 25th anniversary of the festival, but we are going virtual!

How does it work? Just join our “watch party” on the Legacy Park Family Festival Facebook Page on June 4, 5, and 6 at 4:00pm. We will present entertainment and activity options for guests to watch and participate in. Enjoy and support local performers singing, dancing and playing the most beautiful music. Create art with local artists or get a good burn with our local fitness instructors.

Headlining the festival is Team T & J who provide a fresh dose of active and uplifting family entertainment for all ages!

“It is important to recognize that this virtual event has been made possible through the support of our amazing title sponsor Keyera, our community sponsors, community groups, local entertainers, artists, and instructors so, thank you!” said Arthur Lewandowski, the Community Events and Tourism Specialist with the City of Fort Saskatchewan.

Going virtual is not the only change for this year’s festival. One of our community’s most unique tourist attractions will be returning to Peter T. Ream Historic Park for the 2020 summer season.

“Our Sheep Grazing Program is planned to start in early July, this year, with new guidelines that will make interacting with the sheep even more personal than before”, says Culture and Heritage Supervisor, Cherise Elliott. “AHS restrictions on group sizes will keep visiting time with our wooly friends cozy and relaxed. Details regarding the program modifications and how to participate will be shared in June.”
