ANIMAL LICENSES

Reminding pet owners that every cat/dog owned by a resident of Fort Saskatchewan must be licensed according to the Animal Control Bylaw.

A pet license:

  • Will help to reunite missing pets with their owner.
  • Will help the City determine what amenities are needed for pet owners' public enjoyment, such as off-leash dog parks and kennel services.

Licensing periods run from January - December of each calendar year.

PUBLIC HEARINGS

SOUTHFORT AREA STRUCTURE PLAN AMENDMENT

Administration is proposing to amend the Southfort Area Structure Plan Bylaw C4-19 for the purposes of addressing emerging residential development types, clarifying commercial lands terminology in relation to the DC(A)-17 Town Crest Road District location, and strengthening existing policy language related to street congestion. The amendments provide direction for evaluating the appropriate integration of emerging housing concepts into the undeveloped areas of Southfort. It also adds specific narrow lot terminology for front driveways facing front driveways to reflect the findings of the 2021 Low Density Residential Parking Study.

WESTPARK AREA STRUCTURE PLAN AMENDMENT

Do you care for an aging parent, spouse, friend or other person close to you?  You are a caregiver. Would you like to connect with other people in similar situations?

When: Every 3rd Tuesday of the month (starting January 18, 2022)

Caregiver Support Group is a safe and confidential space to share and listen to others in a similar situation. Being a caregiver can have unique challenges, this is a time for reassurance, where caregivers can realize they are not alone. We keep all topics open for discussion.
