A relationship based parenting program

SNOWPLOW SAFETY

Safety is the City's #1 priority

  • Never pass a snowplow on the right hand side unless the operator stops or slows down and signals you to pass.
  • Be careful and keep a safe distance (30 metres) from any snowplow, grader or truck and loader during snow removal.
  • Observe the signs posted or follow the directions of the crew.

ANIMAL LICENSES

Reminding pet owners that every cat/dog owned by a resident of Fort Saskatchewan must be licensed according to the Animal Control Bylaw.

A pet license:

  • Will help to reunite missing pets with their owner.
  • Will help the City determine what amenities are needed for pet owners' public enjoyment, such as off-leash dog parks and kennel services.

Licensing periods run from January - December of each calendar year.

PUBLIC HEARINGS

SOUTHFORT AREA STRUCTURE PLAN AMENDMENT

Administration is proposing to amend the Southfort Area Structure Plan Bylaw C4-19 for the purposes of addressing emerging residential development types, clarifying commercial lands terminology in relation to the DC(A)-17 Town Crest Road District location, and strengthening existing policy language related to street congestion. The amendments provide direction for evaluating the appropriate integration of emerging housing concepts into the undeveloped areas of Southfort. It also adds specific narrow lot terminology for front driveways facing front driveways to reflect the findings of the 2021 Low Density Residential Parking Study.

WESTPARK AREA STRUCTURE PLAN AMENDMENT

A proposed amendment to the Westpark Area Structure Plan Bylaw C8-13 for the purposes of addressing emerging residential development types and strengthening existing policy language related to street congestion.
