JULY'S GOOD NEIGHBOUR RECIPIENT

Carole Brandenburg | Pineview Neighbourhood

Carol is always making sure that everything is going smoothly. She often comes over to play with our dog. She also eagerly enjoys making sure our front garden beds stay watered and has taken upon herself to water our flowers. For years Carol and Larry have been fantastic neighbours, always inviting us over to have an afternoon cerveza with them. We could not ask for better neighbours!

If you want to nominate a neighbour who contributes to building a strong, vibrant community in any of the following ways send us your nominations at fortsask.ca/goodneighbour. Nominations are due the third Tuesday of every month and the recipients will be announced the following week!

Good Neighbour Award

WATER YOUR LAWNS ON ODD/EVEN DAYS

To promote water conservation, residents are encouraged to water their lawns on the odd/even schedule. If your house number is  odd, please water on odd-numbered days. If your house number is even, please water on even-numbered days. Your cooperation in conserving water in this manner is greatly appreciated.

MATURE NEIGHBOURHOOD WALKS

New Land Use Bylaw Project

Join us for a walk through your neighbourhood! On our walk we’ll get observe the existing development patterns of the area, and the impacts they’ve had on how we use our spaces. In our discussions, you will help us better understand the development and the built form features that contribute to neighbourhood character.

In 2021, the City adopted “Our Fort. Our Future.” the Municipal Development Plan for our community. This is a long range plan that guides the development in our city as we grow into a community of 50,000 residents. The new Land Use Bylaw will help implement the objectives of this Plan. For our mature neighbourhoods this means ensuring they remain vibrant for generations to come.

If you live in one of the areas on the map below, sign up and join the conversation at fortsask.ca/LUB
