PUBLIC HEARINGS

Southfort Meadows Stage 9 Redistricting - Bylaw C22-22

An application to rezone approximately 5.9 hectares (14.6 acres) of lands in the Southfort neighbourhood has been submitted by Al-Terra Engineering on behalf of Southfort Development Corp. The application aligns with the City’s approved statutory plans. This application will rezone lands from:

  • UR - Urban Reserve District to R1 - Single Detached Residential District, and
  • UR - Urban Reserve District to RC - Comprehensively Planned Residential District.

Schedule A - Bylaw C22-22

The R1 – Single Detached Residential District allows for low density single detached residential housing.

The RC – Comprehensively Planned Residential District allows for low density residential housing. The purpose of the RC District is to accommodate a range and an appropriate distribution of housing forms that allow for more efficient utilization of land while encouraging diversity of built forms within a low density setting.

Closure of Road Right-of-Way River Lot 15 Road Remnant - Bylaw C23-22

An application to close a portion of an undeveloped road right-of-way has been initiated by the City. The road right-of-way is located south of Highway 21, north of Southfort Drive, and east of 92 Street as seen as Area “A”. Bylaw C23-22 would close the road right-of-way, so the lands could be consolidated with the adjacent City-owned parcels.
