KEEP SORTING FORT SASK!

Remember to keep sorting your waste into organics, recycle and garbage. Below are some quick tips for curbside collection:

  • Place only fully compostable materials in your green cart
  • Put recyclable items in blue bags
  • Have your carts and blue bags out by 7:00am on collection day
  • Extra bags of garbage will not be collected
  • Plastics, metals, rubber and toys do not belong in your green cart

PUBLIC HEARINGS

Forest Ridge Rezoning - Bylaw C7-22

Davis Consulting Group on behalf of Qualico Davis Consulting Group on behalf of Qualico Communities submitted an application to add DC(A)-18 – Forest Ridge Residential District to the Land Use Bylaw, and rezone 1.16 ha (2.87 acres) of lands in the Forest Ridge community from:

  • UR – Urban Reserve District to DC(A)-18 – Forest Ridge Residential District

Schedule A - Bylaw C7-22

The purpose of this district is to provide Zero Lot Line development with rear lane vehicular access. This district allows for street-oriented single detached dwellings on narrow lots with a side yard setback of 0.0 meters on one side. This type of development requires registration of a shared maintenance easement on the side yard between adjacent houses to ensure unobstructed mutual access. Additional architectural regulations will ensure higher design standards and street appeal.

Sienna Rezoning - Bylaw C8-22

Davis Consulting Group on behalf of Qualico Communities submitted an application to add DC(A)-19 – Sienna Residential District to the Land Use Bylaw, and rezone 0.73 ha (1.80 acres) of lands in the Sienna community from:

  • R2 – Semi-Detached and Duplex Residential District to DC(A)-19 – Sienna Residential District,
  • RC – Comprehensively Planned Residential District to DC(A)-19 – Sienna Residential District

Southfort Meadows Stage 8 Redistricting - Bylaw C12-22

An application to rezone 7.06 hectares (17.45 acres) of lands in the Southfort Meadows neighbourhood has been submitted by Al-Terra Engineering on behalf of Southfort Development Corp. The application aligns with the City’s approved statutory plans. This application will rezone lands from:

  • UR – Urban Reserve District to R1 – Single Detached Residential District,
  • UR – Urban Reserve District to RC – Comprehensively Planned Residential District, and
  • UR – Urban Reserve District to RMM – Medium Density Multiple Residential District

Schedule A - Bylaw C12-22

The R1 – Single Detached Residential District provides for low density single detached residential housing. The R1 District would be applied to 1.55 ha (3.82 ac) of lands.

The RC – Comprehensively Planned Residential District accommodates a range of low density housing forms and allows for the efficient use of lands. The RC District would be applied to 3.80 ha (9.39 ac) of lands.

The RMM – Medium Density Multiple Residential District allows for semi-detached, multi-attached development including apartment building up to four storeys in height. The district allows for a limited range of complementary and supporting neighbourhood level commercial and service uses. The RMM District would be applied to 1.71 ha (4.23 ac) of lands.

Southfort Meadows Redistricting - Bylaw C13-22

Al-Terra Engineering Ltd. on behalf of Southfort Development Corp submitted an application to add DC(A)-20 – Street Oriented Small Lot Residential District to the Land Use Bylaw, and rezone 1.79 ha (4.42 acres) of lands in Southfort Meadows  Neighbourhood from:

  • UR – Urban Reserve District to DC(A)-20 – Street Oriented Small Lot Residential District

Schedule A - Bylaw C13-22

The purpose of this district is to provide Urban Character ‘Zero Lot Line’ development with rear lane vehicular access. This district allows for street-oriented single detached dwellings on narrow lots with a side yard setback of 0.0 meters on one side. This type of development requires registration of a shared maintenance easement on the side yard between adjacent houses to ensure unobstructed mutual access. Additional architectural regulations will ensure higher design standard and street appeal.
