It’s Emergency Preparedness Week: Fort Sask Contest Alert

Fort Sask Alerts Contest

Sign-up to Fort Sask Alerts and win an Emergency Preparedness Kit

It is Emergency Preparedness Week (May 1-7). To ensure we are informed. The City of Fort Saskatchewan invites everyone to sign-up to Fort Sask Alerts. Fort Sask Alerts is an important communication channel that is available to all City residents. You can receive messages or alerts by phone, text or email.

Information about important City activities in your area can be provided to you by Fort Sask Alerts with updates on road closures, development applications, fire bans, bylaw changes, and more. Fort Sask Alerts will also help the City inform you of any emergency that might impact you or your family. You'll receive official, reliable information about what's happening and what you need to do about it. Not just for emergencies, many of our residents have also received snow clearing alerts specific to their own neighbourhoods this past Winter.

“Being informed means being prepared. Being prepared means being ready to respond safely and quickly should an emergency affect you. I encourage all residents to sign up for Fort Sask Alerts, and to talk with their neighbours about how they can help each other during an emergency.” says Todd Martens, the City’s Fire Chief and Director of Emergency Management.

To encourage more of our residents to sign-up, all new sign-ups starting May 1, 2022 will be eligible to win an Emergency Preparedness Kit. All current loyal subscribers are also eligible to win a separate Emergency Preparedness Kit. City staff are not eligible to participate in this contest.
