Summer camps include:

  • Children's Summer Camps (ages 4-12)
  • Leaders in Training (ages 13-17)
  • Summer Sports Camps
  • Theatre Camps
  • and more!

Check out our Leisure Guide for program schedules, rates and details.

Children's summer camps

Children's Summer Camps and before/after care are centrally located at the Curling Club.

There are three age groups of camp:

  • Kindercamp (ages 4-5);
  • Discovery Camp (grades 1-3); and
  • Explorer Camp (grades 4-6).

Kindercamp runs a morning and afternoon program with a one-hour break in between.

Discovery and Explorer camps swim at Harbour Pool twice a week, ending on Fridays at 1:00 pm.

Limited space is available and registration is on a first come, first served basis. All camps require a signed waiver.

Leaders in training

Leaders in Training (LITs) volunteer their time to help with Children's Summer Camps. LITs attend training, plan program time, lead activities, and participate in field trips. Teens 13 – 17 learn leadership, communication, and supervision skills by working with children, staff, and other volunteers.

Register for free to become a LIT volunteer starting March 6, 2019. A Summer Program Supervisor will then contact you in May.

Each LIT will receive:

  • An honorarium of $100.00 for each full week of volunteer work
  • A reference letter
